JumpShift terms
The short, plain version of using JumpShift — for venues and for workers.
1. What JumpShift is
JumpShift is a notice board for same-day hospitality shift cover in Edinburgh.
JumpShift is a platform only. The employer engages and pays the worker directly. JumpShift never handles wages and is not a party to the engagement.
2. No guarantees
JumpShift does not guarantee worker quality, attendance, or fill. It surfaces evidence — completions, attendance, and dimensioned ratings — so employers can choose quickly.
3. Certificates and checks
JumpShift is a document wallet, not a verifier. It does not confirm certificates with issuing bodies. Employers remain responsible for checking a worker's suitability and, for regulated roles, confirming PVG scheme membership through Disclosure Scotland processes. JumpShift is not a Disclosure Scotland counter-signatory.
DBS covers England, Wales and Northern Ireland. It is not a substitute for PVG scheme membership for regulated roles in Scotland.
4. Right to work
The engaging employer is responsible for completing the prescribed right-to-work check before work starts. JumpShift facilitates evidence sharing only.
Workers may share a Home Office share code (and optionally their date of birth) through JumpShift. The employer must still complete the official check at gov.uk/view-right-to-work before work starts — storing the code is not a completed check.
5. Ratings and fair treatment
Ratings are two-sided and are left after completed shifts. Retaliation against honest ratings — blocking rehire or filing false no-show reports — is prohibited and may lead to removal from JumpShift.
Reviews may be moderated for abuse, doxxing, or defamation risk. Honest negative feedback stays.
6. Reliability and sanctions
Attendance is tracked separately from quality scores. Missed confirms and no-shows can lead to a warning, a 14-day pause, or removal. Every step is appealable.
7. Pricing
The first month is free — no card required. After that, venues choose Standard at £59/month or Premium at £99/month. JumpShift is always free for workers.
8. Data
JumpShift holds the minimum data necessary to run the notice board. Credential files are visible only to the worker and to the employers they apply to. Our privacy notice explains what we collect, why, how long we keep it, and the control you have.
Read the JumpShift privacy notice.
9. Contact
Questions, reports, or anything stuck — email support@jumpshift.co.uk and the JumpShift team will pick it up.
